Can't stop making roses.

It's in the 80s here and I have Snowmen!

Primitive hand painted snowmen on shipping tags. They're suitable for hanging on a gift, adorning a prim item you already have or for decorating the tree when that time rolls around. And it will.

 

You can get as many as you want, but they come in sets of 6.

Ooops! That's not a snowman! It's a little crow with a flag in his mouth, but I think he fits in fine. Santa Snowman is risking all.

Auction Finds (aka What shop? That's for me!)

I go to a local auction once a week. I'm a regular with a permanent number and a reserved seat, lol. The aucioneer knows my number even if I don't raise it! There are a lot of regulars and when I bid on something I  can pretty much tell you who I'll be bidding against based on the type of item it is, but the hardest part of auctioning is restricting myself to buying for my shops. There are soooo many things that are perfect for my taste, or just the right price for an addition to my project list. Here a couple I could not resist...

This one is on my project list. Won't it make a great hall tree! Well, the front hall is as far as it's gotten so far. I did find an old oak table that I will be using for its shelf, but right now it's in the upstairs bedroom serving as my table for photo shoots, lol.

This cute little figure came ready to move in. She's out in the front yard contemplating the fact that the daffodils are blooming in February.

Doesn't she look cute? She's not really made of concrete, she's actually some lighter man-made material. I was glad, I don't think I could have lifted this large a concrete item out of the car!

If you look closely from the side you can see she's not perfect. She was once a cherub with wings, but lost them somewhere along the way. Good for me - this made her a steal at the auction!

My favorite cranberry sauce recipe.

Cranberry Pineapple Mold

1 lb (4 cups) fresh cranberries

¾ cup water

2 cups sugar

¼ tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp allspice

1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple

Wash & clean cranberries

In heavy saucepan, combine all ingredients and bring to a boil over high heat.

Reduce heat to moderate boil; cook stirring constantly for 10-12 minutes until thick.

Pour into 4 cup mold rinsed with cold water and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

To release from mold, run a thin knife around edge, dip bottom of mold briefly in hot water and invert over a serving plate.

I use my wreath shaped Tupperware mold and fill the center with crushed pineapple. Enjoy!
